“Undercurrent” is the latest of poems by Victor “Billione” Walker, a native Detroit writer and activist who uses poetry as a method to share his cultural experiences. He is the founder and editor of Detroit Poetry Blog detroitpoetry.blogspot.com a source of information about poetry related events and venues in the Detroit Area. “Billione” will be releasing a collection of poetry entitled “Grand River” later this year.
PRODUCER NOTE: In an effort to remain true to the poet’s vision the location of each image was suggested by Mr. Walker.

Is creativity passed on from your parents? Emerging artist Asukile Saffell Gardner,the son of two of Detroit’s most treasured cultural icons, certainly helps further this notion.
Created by Roy Feldman — Vanessa Sawson is a Michigan native and resident of Ferndale. She had been in over ten productions with The Hilberry Theatre in Detroit and has appeared on many stages in the Detroit Metropolitan area. She is currently a second year graduate student and is studying acting at the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia this summer.

Mr. Magsig lives in Ferndale with his wife, fellow artist Janet Hamrick. He is a successful painter for over 30 years and is represented by galleries in Birmingham, Michigan and New York. Most of his attention is spent on his Postcards from Detroit project, in which he paints daily a 5X7 inch painting and sells it on Ebay with prices between $100- $200.
