The Henry Ford is home to a new and amazing collection: the Davidson-Gerson Modern Glass Gallery. The new exhibit the Studio Glass movement’s founding in 1962 to the present.

Modern studio glass embraces the notion of glass as a medium for creative expression, in contrast to its use in industrial production. Featured artists include Harvey Littleton and Paul Stankard, and pieces include vases, sculptures and paperweights. Each work represents an fusion of art, science and technological innovation.

As part of The Henry Ford, dedicated to preserving the history of innovation and creativity, visitors to the Davidson-Gerson Modern Glass Gallery also can learn about the art and glassmaking process through interactive exhibits. The gallery has received a grant from the William Davidson Foundation.
