The story of storytelling gets told through puppetry and stagecraft when PuppetART presents “Oh, Ananse!” The performance is Sunday, Feb. 25 at Music Hall Center in Detroit. Based on West African folklore, this is the story of Ananse, father of narrators, and how he won the right to tell stories to the world.
PuppetART has been bringing their European style puppetry, international storytelling, and educational programming to Downtown Detroit for almost 20 years. The Detroit-based organization is presenting four crowd favorites based on classic fairy tales and folktales from Europe and Africa in the current season.
