Hear talented poets share their perspectives on the events of 1967 through the power of the spoken word at the Detroit Historical Museum on Saturday, April 21.
Held in honor of National Poetry Month, Poetic Perspectives of 1967 includes powerful pieces by One Single Rose, Deonte Osayande, Aurora Harris, Brenda Perryman, Peace, Detroit Bleu, Scheherazade W. Parrish and Caesar Torreano.
After the performances, guests will be able to join in a round-table discussion with the poets and reflect on their pieces.
