These are the ‘droids you’re looking for. So, bring your camera to show everybody in the galaxy how you found them — and their friends’ threads — in the Detroit Institute of Arts.

The Star Wars and the Power of Costume exhibit runs through Sunday, Sept. 30. The special exhibition is a unique journey into the Star Wars universe as characters are brought to life through a dramatic presentation of more than 60 original costumes. The ticketed exhibit closely examines the captivating process of costume design for iconic outfits featured in the first seven films of the Star Wars saga—from Queen Amidala’s lavish gowns to Darth Vader’s imposing black armor.

While museum admission is free to residents of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties, the special exhibition requires an entrance fee. For complete details, click here.
