The Alfred Berkowitz Gallery at the University of Michigan-Dearborn is kicking off the juried exhibition for its 2018 Open Competition Thursday August 2 with an opening reception 5pm-7pm.
Jan Brown, a renowned local artist, served as the juror for this year’s competition and will speak at the opening.
The exhibition showcases and celebrates 44 Michigan artists and displays artwork in a wide variety of media and styles including paintings, drawings, photography, sculpture, collage, glass, and mixed media works. The annual exhibition is to share the works of local artists to the campus and greater community.
