Discover what photographers and painters really think about working together to document our region’s beloved “Holes in the Wall” at Padzieski Art Gallery in Dearborn. The “Art & Appetizers” Gallery Talk is free and open to the public of all communities beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 2.
Details from Padzieski Gallery:
The vibrant and narrative work of 5 distinguished photographers is interpreted by 7 talented visual artists in this exhibition capturing the images and essences of some of the most iconic and beloved “Holes in the Wall” diners and restaurants in our area. The Opening Party was a hit with attendance from proprietors, patrons, artists and gallery visitors coming together to celebrate these special, often overlooked destinations where hot food is served in a more personal, non-corporate atmosphere of socializing, stories, fun food and sometimes a history of long lasting friendships.
Art lovers and food fans now have an opportunity to hear directly from these artists and photographers at Art & Appetizers: Thursday, August 2 from 6pm to 8pm. The DCAC’s regular monthly Gallery Art Talk program features artists from the exhibition at this informal and entertaining discussion which includes refreshments and is FREE to the public without registration. Come learn the stories behind these works of art, the restaurants and the people who work there.
The Padzieski Art Gallery is located in the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, 15801 Michigan Ave., Dearborn, MI 48126 ● 313-943-3095 or www.dcacarts.org.
