  • Little Women – Sunday, 12/30 at 8pm 
    A year has passed and the March family welcomes Meg’s twins, but Marmee and Jo are anxious as Beth’s health and spirits flag; Aunt Carrol arrives with the opportunity for Jo to accompany her daughter on a tour of Europe, but chooses Amy instead.
  • Victoria Season 2 – Sunday, 12/30 at 9pm
    The Queen attempts to deal with foreign relations by taking the royal court on a trip to France, where she goes toe to toe with Louis Philippe, king of the French.
  • New York Philharmonic New Year’s Eve With Renée Fleming – Monday, 12/31 at 8pm 
    The New York Philharmonic celebrates New Year’s Eve with waltzes and polkas by Johann Strauss II and works by Stephen Sondheim, Kander & Ebb and Alexandre Desplat; with Renée Fleming.
  • ACL Hall of Fame New Year’s Special – Monday, 12/31 at 9pm 
    Chris Isaak hosts the induction of Ray Charles, Los Lobos and Marcia Ball into the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame; performers include Boz Scaggs, Gary Clark Jr., and Norah Jones.
  • Detroit Performs – Tuesday, 1/1 at 7:30pm 
    The Chamber Music Society of Detroit is commemorating a huge milestone this year and to kick things off they presented a performance of the Montrose Trio. The Michigan Philharmonic is celebrating its conductor, Nan Washburn, for her NANniversary.

From Vienna: The New Year’s Celebration 2019 – Tuesday, 1/1 at 9pm 
Ring in the New Year with the Vienna Philharmonic under the baton of conductor Christian Thielemann at the Musikverein. Hosted by Hugh Bonneville and featuring favorite Strauss Family waltzes accompanied by the dancing of the Vienna City Ballet.

  • Tree Of Life: A Concert For Peace And Unity – Tuesday, 1/1 at 10pm 
    Join renowned Israeli-American violinist Itzhak Perlman, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and music director Manfred Honeck, and the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh for a special concert in remembrance of the city’s Tree of Life Synagogue tragedy.
  • 2cellos Live From The Sydney Opera House – Friday, 1/4 at 8pm 
    Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, accompanied by the Sydney Symphony, perform Academy Award-winning themes from movies; music includes “My Heart Will Go On” from “Titanic” and “Now We Are Free” from “Gladiator.”
  • Doc Martin Season 8 premiere – Saturday, 1/5 at 7:30pm 
    Preparations for Janice and Penhale’s wedding continue, sending Portwenn into a frenzy; Louisa and Martin are living together again.
