The full majesty of orchestral music is revealed when the Dearborn Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Jason Altieri presents Classical Greats. Featuring cellist Dmitri Atapine, the concert performance is Friday, Feb. 15, beginning at 8 p.m., in the Michael A. Guido Theater at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn.

Debussy’s Petite Suite abounds with exquisite melodies, festive tunes and beautiful dance rhythms. Critically acclaimed for his “expressive sound – beauty, warmth, lyricism and deep sentiment” cellist Dmitri Atapine performs Tchaikovsky’s beautiful, Mozart inspired, Variations on a Rococo Theme. The program climaxes with Beethoven’s spirited First Symphony that heralded the dawn of a new musical era
