Hear classical musicians regarded as rock stars by those who follow great music when Cranbrook Music Guild presents Sybarite5. The concert is Sunday, Feb. 10, beginning at 2:30 p.m. in Christ Church Cranbrook.

Comprised of Sami Merdinian and Sarah Whitney, violins; Angela Pickett, viola; Laura Metcalf, cello; and Louis Levitt, bass, SYBARITE5 has taken audiences by storm all across the US, forever changing the perception of chamber music performance. From the moment their bows hit the strings, this quintet of talented, diverse musicians takes the audience on an exciting ride that engages the senses and redefines the rules.

The name of the group comes from the ancient Greek city, Sybaris. The people who lived there were called Sybarites, and were known for being wealthy hedonists who charmed their enemies with music.
