Works by nine of Detroit’s powerhouse women artists are featured in perSIStence: The Tenacicty of Detroit Female Artists, a new exhibition now at Collected Detroit Gallery. Collected Detroit’s third exhibition embodies a rich array of artworks created by Detroit area women artists using various styles, techniques, and materials.

The exhibit features fabric artist April Anue, painter and drawer Pat Duff, photographer Asia Hamilton, painter and muralist Sydney G. James, painter and filmmaker Nicole Macdonald, painter and drawer Carole Morisseau, painter Sabrina Nelson, sculptor Ann Smith, and photographer Amy Sacka.

Collectively these women artists represent the strength and power of creativity coming from women artists in Detroit. The various media complement and enrich each other and highlight the sense of community that exists in the Detroit art scene.

Collected Detroit Gallery is located at 2439 Fourth Street, Detroit, Michigan. There is ample parking in the lot across the street from the gallery.

Regular gallery hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The exhibit will run through Friday, May 31, 2019.
