DDCdances and artists from the Dearborn community join together when Padzieski Art Gallery presents Gallery Dances, a dance performance and art exhibit inspired by the paintings of Giovanni Boldini. The program is Saturday, Sept. 21 at the gallery, located in Ford Community & Performing Arts Center in Dearborn.

In preparing for the performance, Dearborn artists gather together weekly to create works of art from clothed models. The artists work in various media including oil, pastel, watercolor, acrylic or pencil. Some seek to capture an exact likeness of the model, and others use the model as a springboard for another work. DDCdances has created a contemporary performance that reflects the artwork through movement and text that is thought-provoking, honest and poetic.

Admission cost is a suggested donation of $20. Proceeds benefit DDCdances’ 40th Anniversary. Click here for more information.
