  • THIS OLD HOUSE – 40TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL – Sunday, 9/1 at 12pm 
    The 40th anniversary celebration of “This Old House” includes vintage clips and interviews with hosts Kevin O’Connor, Steve Thomas and Bob Vila; past homeowners provide behind-the-scenes stories about the cast and crew.
  • MACKINAC: OUR BEAUTIFUL ISLAND – Sunday, 9/1 at 4:30pm 
    Takes viewers along the island’s many shores and trails to experience its natural beauty, visit landmarks that reveal its earliest history and introduce the people who still work to preserve this special place.
  • DOWNTON ABBEY RETURNS! – Sunday, 9/1 at 6pm
    Host Jim Carter celebrates “Downton Abbey” with a sneak peek of the movie, interviews with the cast and creators, and never-before-seen video clips.

DETROIT JAZZ FEST 2019 LIVE – Sunday, 9/1 at 8pm
From Campus Martius in Detroit, DPTV presents vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater’s performance at the 40th Annual Detroit Jazz Festival in a a special one-hour live telecast.

  • ASSIA LIVE IN CONCERT – A MUSIC EXTRAVAGANZA – Sunday, 9/1 at 9pm
    Violinist Assia performs some of her favorite songs with a full orchestra, background dancers, and singers; with singer and pianist Ethan Bortnick.
  • DETROIT PERFORMS – Tuesday, 9/2 at 7:30pm 
    The Detroit Institute of Music Education aka DIME is giving people the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree while studying to excel in the professional music industry; DIME students Jamiliah Minter, Devin Woodson, Chris “Kaz” Kaszuba and Julie Shuren show off their talent and what they have learned during their time at DIME; and animator Jon Levy brings art and technology together at NASA. Plus, host DJ Oliver checks out the Detroit Institute of Music Education.
  • IL VOLO: TEN YEARS – Tuesday, 9/2 at 9pm 
    In this new concert, the trio performs in the ancient city of Matera, Italy, surrounded by the beautifully unique landscape, in honor of its tenth anniversary of making music.
  • MAGIC MOMENTS: THE BEST OF 50S POP – Friday, 9/6 at 8pm
    Recording artists of the 1950s reunite and perform; they include the McGuire Sisters, Debbie Reynolds, and Rosemary Clooney.
  • LIVE FROM LINCOLN CENTER: ODYSSEY CHAMBER MUSIC SOCIETY IN GREECE – Friday, 9/6 at 10pm
    Musicians of the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center perform works by Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and others, in Greece.
  • ONE DAY UNIVERSITY – Saturday, 9/7 at 7:30pm
    One Day University brings together professors from the finest universities in the country to present special versions of their very best lectures.
