The Arab American National Museum presents Elemental, a resident artist group exhibition focusing on building meaningful relationships and fostering growth in and around the city of Detroit. Curated by Cyrah Dardas of Creative Relation for Detroit Month of Design, the exhibition runs through Oct. 16 at the Arab American National Museum in Dearborn.

The AANM invites the public to an opening reception Saturday, Sept. 14, beginning at 6 p.m.

Creative Relation is a network of Detroit-based creatives of color building meaningful relationships and fostering growth in and around the city. Elemental invites Creative Relation resident artists Tony Whlgn, BreAnn White, Cydney Camp, Olivia Guterson and Deja Jones to identify the basic elements of their work and examine the connectivity of those elements with their cultural roots or place of upbringing. In addition, artist and curator Cyrah Dardas installs her work alongside the work of Arab American artists Noura Ballout and Zeinab Saab.
