The Detroit Symphony Orchestra celebrates its 100th Halloween with The Ghost of Orchestra Hall. The kid-friendly musical program is Saturday, Nov. 2 at the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center, home of DSO Orchestra Hall, beginning at 9:30 a.m. with pre-concert activities that include an instrument petting zoo and arts and crafts.
The music begins at 11 a.m., under the direction of Maestra Chelsea Gallo. Performers include piano prodigy Gavin George and actress Eva-Sarai Vesprini.
Guests will take a journey back to 1919 to learn the history of the legendary venue. Music includes highlights from Dukas’ The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, Bernstein’s West Side Story, Star Wars, and other favorites.
