Artists, intellectuals and the liberal minded find themselves rivals in love and enemies of the state when Jewish Ensemble Theatre Company presents “Cabaret.” Performances of the musical drama begin Friday, Oct. 11 and continue on select dates through Sunday, Nov. 3 at Jewish Ensemble Theatre.

The production is based on the 1966 musical play by John Van Drutten. The music is by John Kander, lyrics are by Fred Ebb, and the book is by Joe Masteroff. The work is based on the novel “Goodbye to Berlin” (1939) by Christopher Isherwood.
