Celebrate Beethoven’s upcoming 250th birthday when Chamber Soloists of Detroit present “A Symphony of the Heart.” The concert performance will be held Sunday, Dec. 8 at St. John Lutheran Church – Farmington Hills, beginning at 2 p.m.

Prepare for a very special afternoon of chamber music, featuring Beethoven’s Quintet for Winds and Piano. Next, add a flute for the festive Sextet for Winds and Piano by Francis Poulenc.

Please join pianist Pauline Martin in welcoming to the stage the talented Detroit Symphony Orchestra soloists: Alexander Kinmonth (oboe), Amanda Blaikie (flute), Ralph Skiano (clarinet), Karl Pituch (horn), Robert Williams (bassoon). Also featured are lyrical selections by Willibald Gluck (Minuet and Dance of the Blessed Spirits), Saint-Saëns (Bassoon Sonata), and Fauré (Pavane for Wind Quintet).

Enjoy complimentary light refreshments, mimosas and coffee at 1 p.m.
