Rackham Symphony Choir, in partnership with the Detroit Opera House, presents its annual celebration of Too Hot To Handel – The Jazz-Gospel Messiah on Saturday, Dec. 14.
Featuring renowned soloists Rodrick Dixon, Alfreda Burke, and Karen Marie Richardson and an all-star ensemble of Detroit jazz legends Marion Hayden, Alvin Waddles, and Dave Taylor.
This soul stirring, toe-tapping rendition of Handel’s Messiah is an exhilarating fusion of gospel, jazz and classical music, performed by the Rackham Symphony Choir, under the direction of Suzanne Mallare Acton, the Too Hot Orchestra and an all-star cast of soloists.
