Ring in the new year with big laughs and a lot of big things to think about when Planet Ant presents “Hamburger Tuna,” an original comedy. Starring the world’s only sibling improv troupe*, Michael Duprey and Lauren Duprey, performances are on select dates Jan. 3-19 at the Planet Ant Black Box.
Directed by Quintin Hicks, Hamburger Tuna is written and performed by Michael Duprey and Lauren Duprey.
Details from Planet Ant:
Hamburger Tuna is a one-act play written and performed by brother/sister comedy duo Michael and Lauren Duprey (aka Apples & Oranges; the 2019 Colony Fest Tournament Winners), under the direction of Quintin Hicks.
The show centers on a young witch, Blake Blunders, as she attempts to harvest souls of the innocent to reign darkness upon the Earth. It is up to the incorrigible Ollie Ollie Oxenfree to overcome his fears and his exponentially worsening stench to take down Blake Blunders and save the world at large.
With a colorful cast of characters including a balcony-invading goofball, a retired Hollywood showman, and a Garbage Lawyer, the Duprey siblings’ first-ever stage show will charm and delight you.
*Cost of admission includes FREE ENTRY to live stand-up at The Independent Comedy Club, and live music at Ghost Light Hamtramck, and Saturday Night Improv following the show!
