Register now for SphinxConnect 2020: Vision, the fourth annual epicenter for artists and leaders in diversity, held Feb. 6-8, 2020 at the Westin Book Cadillac Detroit. The convening will celebrate and empower leadership as the Sphinx Organization welcome hundreds of musicians, industry leaders, educators, funders and supporters, diversity advocates, and administrators for this transformative experience.

This year’s event offers more than 30 sessions designed to inspire and ignite action, participation by more than 60 speakers, keynote addresses by luminaries and trailblazers, a special session for entrepreneurs, and much more for those engaging diversity in arts and culture.

Then, save the dates Feb. 7-8 for the 2010 Sphinx Competition in Orchestra Hall. The competition of young black and Hispanic classical string musicians was founded by Aaron Dworkin to address the stark under-representation of people of color in classical music. Since its founding, the organization has reached more than 100,000 students. Its performing artistis and ensembles, including the Sphinx Virtuosi, the Sphinx Symphony Orchestra, the Harlem Quartet and the Catalyst Quartet, have been heard by audiences around the world.
