Emily Rose is a singer/songwriter and poet. Her sensitivity to the written word and intricate guitar playing have earned her recognition in her hometown of Detroit. Since the genesis of her career, she has toured nationally, performed Midwest folk festival circuits, released three full length albums, and one book. Songs from her 2011 album ‘Porchlight Tragical’ were placed in PlayStation Four’s Detroit: Become Human as well as the feature film, Welcome to Happiness. In 2018, she released “Wake Up Brave” a collection of songs that nod to writers like John Prine and Randy Newman. Rose’s 2022 single release ‘Shoebox Island’ is a waltz with nostalgia; a dive into the ever-changing relationship we have with our past. She is currently performing in the Midwest, releasing singles, and working on a concept album set be released in 2023. Rose has shared the stage with notables – Amos Lee, Matthew Good, War and Treaty, Greta Van Fleet, The Sweet Water Warblers, Gaelynn Lea, and In Transit w/Sean Blackman.
